The spool of the reel is made from heavy duty plastic and the supporting frame from metal.

The Chrome reel features a metal line guide that slides in a channel to ensure tidy winding of the line.

It has a clutch adjustment screw on the base to allow you to lock the reel or have it free (or somewhere in between)
